15 Groups Outline Recommendations to HHSC to Address Medicaid Unwinding
Fifteen Texas organizations recently wrote to the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to make seven recommendations for improving the state’s approach to the “unwinding” of Medicaid continuous coverage.
The letter comes after a number of Texas organizations have expressed alarm that Texas children who are still eligible for Medicaid health insurance are losing their coverage in the unwinding process — which can result in children missing doctor’s appointments, losing access to medications, experiencing gaps in treatment for ongoing physical and mental health challenges, and much more.
