Clean Up TX's Inaccurate System for Reviewing Kids' Medicaid Eligibility Mid-Year
Note: Due to coronavirus, Texas has temporarily suspended these inaccurate mid-year eligibility reviews in Children's Medicaid.
It’s more than just red tape. Texas mistakenly removes eligible children from health coverage because the mid-year Children’s Medicaid eligibility reviews are inaccurate. The current annual reviews, however, accurately determine the right program for kids.
Fixing this problem will help reduce the state’s worst-in-the-nation uninsured rate for kids.
