Sign-up for Insurance Nov. 1 - Dec. 15 on HealthCare.Gov!
Despite all the attacks on our health care over the last few years, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is still the law of the land — and you can sign-up for health insurance for 2020 from November 1 to December 15, 2019.
The Texas Attorney General is leading a lawsuit that could eliminate ACA health benefits in 2021, but experts expect health coverage will still be available at least through 2020, and hopefully for many years to come.
So check out your options on HealthCare.Gov, where insurance plans must include key benefits like mental health care, maternity care, prescription drug coverage, and hospitalization services. (Plans outside HealthCare.Gov don’t have to offer the same protections, so always make sure to use HealthCare.Gov when enrolling in coverage.)
If you need help understanding your options and signing up for a plan, experts from local organizations will be standing by in communities across the state to help you out for free.
Financial assistance is still available for low and middle-income shoppers to help lower the cost of their plan. In fact, more than 8 out of 10 consumers last year qualified for a tax credit.
There are so many reasons to sign up for affordable, comprehensive coverage — so join the millions who have gained health insurance thanks to the ACA!
