Texas Health Reform in the Lead-Up to Supreme Court Hearings
MEDIA ADVISORY Please join Texas Well and Healthy on Tuesday, March 20, at 10:30 a.m. for a discussion of how the Affordable Care Act is helping Texas families, as you consider and prepare reports for the second anniversary of the health law’s passage and the Supreme Court hearing on the law in the days ahead.
WHO: Texas Well and Healthy, a statewide grassroots campaign of health care advocates, families, and individuals, will host the event, with featured speakers:
- Texans, including a small business owner and a middle-class parent, will share firsthand accounts of the Affordable Care Act’s impact on ordinary working Texans.
- Center for Public Policy Priorities (CPPP) Associate Director Anne Dunkelberg and Consumers Union’s Blake Hutson will provide data on the number of Texans benefiting from the Affordable Care Act and context regarding the law in Texas.
- Policy staff from Children’s Defense Fund - Texas, Consumers Union, CPPP, and Texans Care for Children will be available to answer questions.
- Texas Well and Healthy Communications Coordinator Christine Sinatra will moderate the call.
